As one of my favourite bands in recent times, the disbanding of The Vagabonds was a bitter pill to take. With this in mind, it was nice to hear that one former vagabond, Niall Burns, is working on a material with new band Sisters.
The previous predilection for punky sounds remains, especially with ‘Decay’, a chugging punky number with a grungier edge. Meanwhile ‘Burn Brighter’ is a much lighter and brighter affair, slipping and sliding between soft vocals and sweeter meandering guitars.
While these tracks are only demo’s for now, hopefully the lads will hit the studio soon. I’m looking forward to the results.
